About US

Founded in 2005 by Dianne Simmons Grab, Simmons Grab & Associates LLC is a group of forensic consultants with courtroom experience specializing in Future Medical Costs / Services through life expectancy in light of injuries / impairments (Life Care Planning) and Vocational Evaluations to determine a persons capacity for employment, and if deemed employable, identify jobs they can perform, how many jobs exist in the area, and the salary ranges.

Our corporate headquarters is located in Ridgewood, New Jersey; with secondary locations in Columbus, Ohio & Waterville Valley, NH

Dianne Simmons-Grab, MA, CCM, CDMS, CLCP
Founder, President

Dianne holds a Master of Arts in Psychology from Montclair State College.   Dianne is a Certified Case Manager, Certified Disability Manager and a Certified Life Care Planner with training in Life Care Planning through the University of Florida and MediPro Seminars, LLC.

Dianne has been providing rehabilitation services for individuals with various disabilities and their representatives for over 30 years with a focus on individuals with brain injuries and their secondary injuries including orthopedic, amputations, burns, and mental health issues. With this experience Dianne founded her own company in 2005 and has developed a network of experts to provide health care services consulting, life care planning and vocational evaluations to work with attorneys, insurance companies, employers, facilities, third party administrators and private individuals.

Dianne has taken an active role in the rehabilitation industry on a national level by serving on the Board of Directors for the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals (IARP) for six years (1997-2004); and on the state level by serving on the Board of Directors for the Rhode Island Brain Injury Association (2000-2004). She also served on several committees and taskforces including the IARP Annual Conference as chair (2000-2006), TBI Medicaid Waiver Taskforce, New Jersey Brain Injury Association Conference Planning Committee for over 11 years and serving as co-chair (2001-2005), the NARPPS ethics committee, the NJ CMSA ethics committee, as well as serving on the Board of Directors for Padula Institute of Vision and Sage Rehab, Inc.

Dianne has also been published and provides presentations locally and nationally on "Ethics in Healthcare/Rehabilitation," as well as double-vision, brain injury, life care planning and various other topics.

 

Bruce Growick, PhD, CRC, ABVE
Associate, Vocational Expert

Dr. Bruce Growick holds a PhD in Educational Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  Dr. Growick is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, Licensed Psychologist in the State of Ohio , and a recognized Diplomat by the American Board of Vocational Experts.

Dr. Growick has been providing rehabilitation services for over 27 years. Dr. Growick’s work has been essential in the development of the Ticket To Work Initiative and was appointed by President Bush to the Access Board in Washington DC , which reviews and recommends policy changes pertaining to public accessibility. Dr. Growick has consulted on the behalf of Honda of America, Technaglass, ADIA Services and is retained as a vocational expert by the Ohio Police/Fireman Fund, Ohio Bureau of Worker’s Compensation and the Social Security Administration. His expert vocational skills are highly sought by both plaintiff and defense cases.

Dr. Growick was Director of the Rehabilitation Division of the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation.   He is also a Past President of the International Association of Rehabilitation Professional; Dr. Growick continues to take an active role by serving as the legislative chair, as well as serving on the conference planning committee. Dr. Growick is the past-editor of the Journal of Forensic Vocational Analysis, the official publication of the American Board of Vocational Experts, and is a vocational expert for various national and state agencies. Dr. Growick has published and presented widely in the field of rehabilitation, especially in the areas of rehabilitating injured workers.

 

Carol H. Lockhart, MSN, CCM
Associate, Case Manager

Carol is a graduate of the Holy Name of Jesus School of Nursing in Gadsden , Alabama , then received her BSN and MSN degrees from the University of Alabama at Birmingham . She is the Past President of the State of Alabama Association of Rehabilitation Professionals and has served as the Case Management Section Chair on the International Board for the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals. Carol is an active participant with the Alabama Department of Industrial Relations, serving on an ad hoc committee for utilization management.  She is also involved with the Alabama Chapter of CMSA. 

Carol specializes in servicing the workers' compensation injured population, with emphasis on catastrophic injuries, chronic pain management, psychological and psychiatric disorders. Other areas of expertise are working with clients with blindness, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations, and burns.  She has a wide variety of clinical experiences, beginning with staff positions in CCU and ER, then education, clinical nurse specialist, case management and management positions prior to private practice.
